About me

My name is Viktoria Ostašová, I help my students pass language exams, communicate in everyday life and at work, and finally start using Czech for real – not just learning it.

I graduated from  International Relations and European Studies at the Metropolitan University of Prague, but during my studies I realized that working with language and people was much more fulfilling for me. It was my feeling for Czech that led me to teaching it. I work daily with students who need to quickly master Czech for study, work or life in the Czech Republic.

I currently work as a lecturer of Czech for foreigners at the Institute for Language and Preparatory Studies, Charles University, where I work with students from all over the world and prepare them for real life in the Czech Republic and for language exams. I also teach multilingual children in primary school aged 6 to 15 and help them master Czech after they start attend a Czech school.

I am a certified teacher of Czech as a foreign language and in my teaching I mainly use only Czech without intermediary language - so that students can speak as soon as possible and without unnecessary stress.
